When I started college I thought I had to get a degree in a very specific field and then get a job in that same field and that was success.
I am not saying that those steps can’t provide a rewarding path. My husband is a great example. He knew from an early age he wanted to be an Architect. He spent 6 years in school to get a Master Degree in Architecture and has worked for the same Architecture firm since he graduated. He is happy, very successful and loves his job.
However for me, after I chose that path I wasn’t happy. I longed for something more. I knew that I wasn’t living out my passion.
So I set out on my journey to become a Bridalpreneur.
Over the past 10 years I have worked with dozens and dozens of college students through my internship programs and have learned so much from each one of them. I see your drive, your excitement and it is contagious!
If you are a college student or a recent college graduate that is curious about entrepreneurship, I encourage you to explore your passions. I want to inspire you to live with purpose. You do not have to work 9 to 5 in a cubicle if that is not your dream. Find an internship or hire a coach.
I do not regret the path that my life has taken me but if I could go back and have a industry professional encourage me to find my passion and live it out loud, I know I would have ended up with the life I imagined much earlier.
